The Four Mitzvot of Purim
This program explores 4 key mitzvot of Purim – Mishloach Manot (sending gifts to friends and family), Matanot Laevyonim (sending gifts to the poor, Lishmoah Megillah (hearing the story of the book of Esther) and Seudat Mitzvah (participating in the Purim feast). Each of the four mitzvot is taught via two learning stations. There is also a text study included that can be done prior to the program or can be included prior to doing each of the stations. This program can be done as a family program for parents with kids pre K- 6th grade outside of the formal classroom setting or as a grade level holiday program for students only. It can be done as a rotation program or each station can be it’s own lesson within the classroom. The program can also be done as a parallel learning program where students do the rotations while the parents engage in text study.
